FOUR FREE EVENTS TO GRAPPLE WITH JUSTICE

The climate crisis is wreaking havoc in our world, putting millions of lives at risk. This 4-part series will explore the climate crisis and how it intersects with issues of poverty, racism and gender inequality.

We’ll be joined by well-respected theological voices from around the world, including an extended interview with Brazilian Liberation theologian Leonardo Boff, presentations from Jason Fileta and Ruth Valerio, and panel discussions with experts from around the world.

Why is this such an important year within the climate crisis? What do Christians who care about justice and creation care need to know? What can we do today? Join us for a live panel discussion with Ruth Valerio and other guests.

Climate of Injustice: The Climate Crisis and Racial Inequality

Long-standing policies and practices have led to increased vulnerability of some people (including People of Colour, First Nations peoples, Aboriginal peoples, Indigenous peoples and other groups of people), to climate change impacts. Part 2 of this series will explore the intersection of climate change and racial injustice. Women commonly face higher risks and greater burdens from the impacts of climate change in situations of poverty. This session will explore this intersection of climate change and gender.
