Chrissie Thwaites

Chrissie Thwaites is a PhD student in religious studies at the University of Leeds (UK), funded by the AHRC through the White Rose College of Arts and Humanities. Prior to this she studied theology and ancient history at the University of Exeter (UK). Her PhD research focuses on evangelical purity culture and the impact this has on women. Her broad research interests are practical theology and contemporary Christianity, especially in relation to issues of gender, disability, poverty, wellbeing, and inequality.
