Hannington is Ugandan with a genuine lived and working experience with people in Africa and Asia. Over his career of 23 cumulative years, Hannington has employed different strategic communications and advocacy techniques to build influential power for youth, women, refugees, research participants and people in poverty. He works with Tearfund’s global advocacy team where they challenge social practices and policies that entrench climate change, poverty and extreme inequalities. His role supports the Church in China and in South and Eastern Africato build grassroots social movements. He lives in London, UK, with his wife and two teenage kids.
