Iloni Kingston-Smith

Growing up in Bolivia and witnessing her parents’ work with street children, from a young age, Iloni developed a keen interest in issues of global development, social justice, and education. Whilst studying geography at the University of Bristol, she became involved in Just Love. She took on presidency for the society in her final year, whilst also volunteering for a menstrual health organisation, whose vision was to tackle period poverty sustainably. In her passionate pursuit of social justice, Iloni recognised her hurried pace of life was neither sustainable nor Christ-like. Since then, she’s been on a mission to live justly in keeping with Jesus’ unhurried rhythm. After graduating, Iloni worked in a school for excluded pupils in a deprived Bristol neighbourhood, and is now training to be a secondary school maths teacher. She currently lives in a Christian community house along with six chickens.
