Myrto was born and raised in Nicosia, Cyprus. Her theological interests took her to the Greek Bible College where she did her undergraduate studies in Bible and Theology, followed by graduate studies at Wheaton College, Illinois in the area of Biblical Exegesis and then continued on for doctoral studies at the University of Cambridge in the area of the Old Testament. She is currently living with her husband Riad Ibrahim Ghobrial in Athens, Greece where she is a lecturer of Hebrew and Old Testament at the Greek Bible College in Athens, Greece. She is an author and public speaker and her current research interests include the book of Deuteronomy and the relationship between the Old Testament and Christian ethics. Myrto has been active in anti-trafficking street work for many years and she is currently the President of New Life Ministries for victims of prostitution and sex-trafficking.
